This is a course that takes you through the Shakotan Peninsula in summer
∞∞ Highlights PICK UP!! ∞∞
This course follows National Route 229 along the coastline to Cape Kamui, the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula.
You will see a number of wild, strangely shaped rocks and sheer cliffs that appear one after another.
At Bikuni, you can optionally board a glass boat.
The Bikuni glass boat "New Shakotan" is one of the few underwater observation boats in Hokkaido with a capacity of 78 people.
From the underwater observation boat, you can see the cliffs of the Shakotan Peninsula, which is designated as the Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi-National Park, as well as the emerald green ocean seen from Hokkaido's only "underwater park."
Furthermore, if the conditions are good, you can see the varied underwater scenery through the underwater viewing window, and get a close-up view of the fish and sea urchins swimming in front of you.
On the return trip of the underwater observation boat, you will return to the port while feeding many seagulls.
In addition, this course will also visit the scenic spots "Shimamui Coast" and "Cape Kamui."
The view from Shimamui Beach, which was selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches, is said to be the best on the Shakotan Peninsula. To carry it out, we will go through a tunnel with a total length of 30 meters that was excavated by hand.
There is also a legend of a tragic love between Cape Kamui and Yoshitsune, and in the past, it was a place where women were not allowed due to the rough seas.
Currently, there is a promenade from the parking lot to the tip of the cape, and in early summer, the area is filled with spectacular daylilies in full bloom.
We will serve a lunch using plenty of local ingredients.
